We’re not even halfway through this season yet, but tonight on the SEC Network – the 2022 SEC football scheduled was released. We already knew the league opponents that were set, but now we have the dates.
The non-conference dates were previously set, as Mizzou will open the season with two consecutive road games, which is kind of hard to believe. The Tigers will visit Middle Tennessee on September 3rd and then Kansas State on September 10th. Missouri’s home opener will finally come on Week 3 — September 17th vs Abilene Christian. A random non-conference game toward the end of the season is thrown in there as they will host New Mexico State on November 19th.
Now, to the fun part — onto the SEC schedule. The Missouri Tigers will start off SEC play with a bang, and it’s a cross divisional match up.....September 24th at Auburn. That will be Mizzou’s first visit to Jordan Hare Stadium since joining the league.
Mizzou’s SEC home opener? Oh, well how about October 1st vs Georgia. Hey, which team is Luther Burden going to playing for in that one?
Here is a look at Mizzou Football’s 2022 schedule (and man, those first three SEC games are an absolute gauntlet). They’ll get a well deserved by week after Auburn, Georgia, and Florida.
