Mizzou Dominates SEC Football Weekly Awards After 33-31 Win Over Florida

Mizzou Links for Tuesday, November 21

Lots of Players of the Week!

After a 33-31 win over Florida on Senior Night to keep their NY6 bowl hopes alive, Mizzou dominated the SEC Football weekly awards — with three players mentioned on the players of the week.

Brady Cook has been named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week, sharing the award with Heisman favorite Jayden Daniels.

Cook was 20-35 throwing for 335 yards with one passing and one rushing touchdown, including the biggest pass play of the game — a 4th and 17 conversion to Luther Burden to keep the game-winning drive alive.

Meanwhile, Harrison Mevis was named the SEC Special Teams Player of the Week after going 4-4 on field goal attempts including a 30-yard game winner with five seconds left — his last kick at Faurot Field.

Mevis currently ranks third on the SEC all-time field goal list with 84 in his career.

Also, offensive lineman Xavier Delgado was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week — helping block Cody Schrader’s 148 rushing yard night.

Moving on — Luther Burden was named one of 10 wide receiver semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award. Plus, defensive line coach Kevin Peoples was named one of 15 assistant semifinalist for the Broyles Award.

As the regular season winds down — the Senior Bowl rosters are starting to take shape. Kris Abrams-Draine and Darius Robinson have accepted invitations to the Reese’s Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama.

Mizzou Women’s Basketball took care of business in a 96-62 win over Southern Indiana to improve to 4-1 on the young season. And Hayley Frank did Hayley Frank things.

Up next: Mizzou WBB heads to the Daytona Beach Classic against Tennessee Tech on Friday, then Kent State on Saturday.

Onto the links. M-I-Z!
