Award Semifinalist Continue for Mizzou Football:

On Tuesday, running back Cody Schrader was named a semifinalist for the Doak Walker Award.

On the Mizzou offense, Schrader joins Brady Cook (Davey O’Brien) and Luther Burden (Biletnikoff) as semifinalists for these prestigious awards.

In fact, Mizzou is the ONLY team in the country that has semifinalists for the Top quarterback, running back, and wide receiver ward — according to The Big 550 KTRS’ Brendan Wiese:

Kortay also mentioned the Thorpe, Butkus, and Bednarik awards.

Also, from MUTigers.com:

“The 9-2 Tigers are one of three teams nationally to feature a 3,000-yard passer (QB Brady Cook), a 1,000-yard receiver (WR Luther Burden III) and a 1,000-yard rusher (Schrader).”

From semifinalists to finalists: Mizzou linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper has been named a finalist for the Butkus Award. Hopper is one of five linebackers in the country up for the award along with Jeremiah Trotter Jr. (Clemson), Edufan Ulofoshio (Washington), Nathaniel Watson (Mississippi State), and Payton Wilson (NC State).

And some Mizzou Basketball news: Kaleb Brown will miss the remainder of the season with a stress reaction in his left shin. More information here:
