I’m kidding a bit, but both Arkansas and Mizzou fans like to announce to the world that there is no rivalry between the schools. After all Mizzou has Kansas, Arkansas has... I don’t know, Arkansas-Little Rock?
But the Hogs are in the midst of a tough season, they’re 4-7 overall, and just 1-6 against the SEC after beating Florida in Gainesville. So they’re capable of playing well, they’re also capable of losing 48-10 to Auburn. Don’t let the record deceive you, the Hogs have been competitive in a lot of games. They’ve just lost a lot. And they’ve already committed to bringing coach Sam Pittman back, which I think is a solid move. I don’t think schools should be firing coaches all the time, he’s the same guy who went to a bowl game last year and won 9 games two years ago. Giving a coach more time might make you bad for another season but it could also give you the coach your program needs, just look at Missouri’s patience with Eli Drinkwitz or to an even bigger degree, Gary Pinkel.
