Miami LB transfer Corey Flagg, Jr. commits to Mizzou

The experienced linebacker rejoins Blake Baker for his final year of eligibility.

After the high of yesterday, it’s hard not to feel a little spoiled by Eli Drinkwitz at this point.

Not even 24 hours after Eli Drinkwitz put a bow on his third Top 25 high school recruiting class in four years, Mizzou continued to add to its sterling transfer class by plucking 4-star Miami transfer linebacker Corey Flagg, Jr. out of the portal.

Flagg previously played for defensive coordinator Blake Baker during the latter’s time at Miami, and will rejoin his former coach for his final year of eligibility. Adding Flagg, who has played in 11 or more games for the Hurricanes for the past 3 seasons, gives Mizzou a injection of experience in the linebacking corps as we wait to hear the status of Ty’Ron Hopper.
