A preview on the Cotton Bowl:

On The Big 550 KTRS last night, Brendan Wiese and Ben Frederickson previewed the Cotton Bowl on the James Carlton State Farm Mizzou Football Game Plan Show — with an appearance by defensive coordinator Blake Baker.

Some quotes from Blake Baker on the show. On the team’s growth throughout the season:

“It’s been a fun ride. It’s been really, really neat to see the guys really grow and buy in to what we were doing just from a culture standpoint.”

On Darius Robinson:

“He personified what we want to be as a program and as a culture. I don’t think there’s a guy on our team, and maybe even the entire country that improved their draft stock than he did.”

On Ty’Ron Hopper:

“He helped himself out tremendously to have a lot of success at the next level. He definitely is everything you want in a linebacker and from a leadership standpoint.”

On Kris Abrams-Draine:

“He’s the definition of consistency. He comes to work every single day. You know what you’re going to get with KD.”

Plus, some predictions for Friday’s Cotton Bowl Game on the show:

  • Wiese: 37-35 Mizzou (on a game-winning field goal by Harrison Mevis)
  • BenFred: 34-27 Mizzou

ICYMI: You can LISTEN to the James Carlton Mizzou Football Game Plan Show on the KTRS SoundCloud page.
