Cody Schrader. Burlsworth Winner.

I mean, was there every any doubt? Cody Schrader has been named the 2023 Burlsworth Trophy Award Winner — which is given to the most outstanding FBS college football player who began his career as a walk-on.

From Division II Truman State to becoming the SEC’s leading rusher, the remarkable story of Cody Schrader gets a much-deserved honor and recognition.

In case if you missed it — the award ceremony and presentation was featured on YouTube.

Ironically, the event took place in Bentonville, Arkansas:

Schrader’s collegiate career will come to a close on December 29th in the Cotton Bowl against Ohio State, but he’s also in the running for another honor — as he is a finalist for the Doak Walker Award given to the nation’s top running back. That will be announced on ESPN Friday night during The Home Depot College Football Awards Show. Of course, stay tuned for that.

Moving on, Mizzou Football has announced that they have officially sold out their ticket allotment for the upcoming Cotton Bowl. Well, that was quick!

A huge statement made by the Mizzou fanbase — and one lucky fan can enter a chance to win a trip to the Cotton Bowl:
