Breaking News: Georgia defensive back Trajen Greco Commits to Mizzou Football

Greco commits to Mizzou after signing on National Signing Day.

The success of Missouri on the field continues to pay dividends off of it, as the Tigers landed a commitment from 4-star defensive back Trajen Greco out of Hoschton, Ga. on Saturday.

Greco decommited from Georgia Tech in late November and was considered a heavy Mizzou lean ever since then. He took an unofficial visit for the Florida game on Nov. 18, the week before he re-opened his recruitment.

The 6-foot-1 prospect out of Georgia powerhouse Mill Creek was sought-after by plenty of other schools and is a dual-sport athlete (basketball). In line with that versatility, Greco also played on both sides of the ball in 2023, working as a receiver that racked up 462 yards while also recording five pass breakups as a DB. Thus, he could be used in a variety of ways in Columbia.

Let’s take a look at what the Tigers are getting from Greco and what his future in black and hold may hold:

Get to know: Trajen Greco

Hometown: Hoschton, GA

High School: Mill Creek

Position: DB/WR

Ht/Wt: 6-foot-1, 180 lbs.

Rivals Ranking: 5.6 (3-stars)

247Composite Ranking: 4-star, 0.9137

Total announced offers: 29

Offers to note: Georgia Tech, Boston College, Duke, Indiana, Kansas, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech

Offensively, Greco is a smooth runner than seems to glide in the open-field. He can beat you in a phone booth as well, as he touched the ball in a variety of ways in high school from sweeps to screens to go-routes. He’s got great burst off the line of scrimmage and can pull down contested catches despite his smaller frame.

Another thing that really stood out to me was his improvisational skills. Greco excels in helping out a scrambling quarterback, something that is really undervalued by the masses but is a great skill to have.

Those above-average hands translate well to the other side of the ball as well. He’s also got some solid instincts to work with on defense and can go sideline-to-sideline in a hurry.
