Hammond, La., defensive end/outside linebacker Chris Turner officially visited Missouri this weekend for the Tigers’ win over Vanderbilt. With Missouri being his only major-conference offer, it was easy to suspect he might commit over the weekend. He did.

The text from his announcement: "First off I wanna thank the man above for blessing me with the talent to play this game. I want to thank my parents, coaches, and friends for helping and supporting me all this time and never giving up on me. Now I want to announce that I am 100% committed to play football at the University of Missouri."

Turner is a mid-three-star prospect per the 247Sports Composite. His highlight film suggests someone who can either pin his ears back or play more of a reactive style.
Turner was listed as either an outside linebacker or defensive end at different times, but he appears to have the versatility to play a number of roles for Barry Odom’s Tigers.
Turner is the 13th known commitment, and first defensive line commit, for Barry Odom’s 2017 recruiting class.
WELCOME, CHRIS.
