From his reaffirmed commitment piece:

Castillo committed way back in April, when only 247 had a ranking on him. Now the 6'4, 285-pound lineman is rated a three-star by ESPN247Rivals and was being pursued by Minnesota and Iowa State. Castillo sticking with Mizzou helps after Royce Newman recently flipped to Ole Miss and JUCO OL Breontae Matthews decided on Kansas State.

Castillo looks to be the foundation of future Tiger lines and will likely start along the interior at guard or center. It's unlikely a freshman will come in and compete no matter how poorly the line performed last season, but adding depth to the position group is a priority for Barry Odom in his first year as head coach.

Danny Heitert:

He’s quick off the ball. He’s explosive. He’s aggressive and he’s a finisher. He’s not as far behind as you would think in pass protection for a guy that’s not gotten a lot of repetitions doing that.

Missouri has not yet completely addressed all of its needs up front, but retaining Castillo helps a lot.
