Missouri picked up its second commitment of the night after Texas wide receiver Roderick Ford committed to the Tigers during Night at the Zou.
|Height, Weight||6'0, 164|
|City (School)||Fort Worth, TX (Southwest)|
|Rating (Scout, 247Sports)||NR|
|Offers||Bowling Green, Houston, North Texas, Tulane|
Ford held six offers before committing to Missouri during Night at the Zou. As Nate Latsch of Black & Gold Illustrated reported, he had narrowed his options down to Missouri and Houston just before attending Night at the Zou. "I've got my mind made up already," Ford told BlackAndGoldIllustrated.com. Regarding Night at the Zou, Ford added, "I need to see if I can call that my home."
Ford can fly -- the wide receiver does an excellent job separating himself from defenders after the catch. He could develop a deadly combination of long strides and shifty moves that can leave defensive backs in the dust.
The Tigers add another offensive weapon to the class of 2017, as Ford joins fellow receivers Da'Ron Davis and Jafar Armstrong. Ford adds depth to the wide receiver position and potentially the return game as well -- he returns kickoffs at Southwest high school. Josh Heupel and Andy Hill will have fun helping him develop.
