It’s been a pretty damn good weekend for the Missouri athletic program. Mizzou Basketball smoked Iowa State, Mizzou Football smoked Tennessee, Karissa Schweizer won another NCAA Regional, and now, to cap things off, Mizzou Football just scored its first commitment in a while. Come on down, Jarvis Ware!
Commit to the LORD in whatever you do & your plans will succeed.

Ware is a 5’11, 170-pound cornerback from Apopka (Fla.) Wekiva High School. He listed offers from Oregon (whose head coach, Willie Taggart, was at USF until this season), USF, Wake Forest, and Virginia Tech, among others. And he comes with one hell of an endorsement:
@RockMNation @RockMRecruiting @SBN_BillC Bill this is one of my favorite players to watch in the class. Kid is relentless.

So Missouri has @TyroneCollins_5 and @WareJarvis committed. Any school have a more underrated pair of defensive backs committed? Can't be many, if any.

Florida native and SBN Recruiting head honcho Bud Elliott isn’t the easiest guy in the world to impress, and he loves Ware. That’s honestly just about all I need to hear.
Ware’s film is great in all the ways you’d expect of an athletic, “relentless” high school cornerback. He reads the ball well and breaks quickly, he’s sticky, and it appears he can play physically when he needs to. He slipped through the cracks to a degree, and his 247Sports Composite rating falls into the low-three-star range — you figure that’s at least in part because of size. He’s not exactly the 6’2 CB everybody desires. But Barry Odom desires tall guys, too, and he pursued Ware anyway. That probably tells you something. (It also bears mentioning that every recruiting service lists him with a different height. So hey, maybe he is a tall corner?)
Ware is Mizzou’s first commit since late-July’s Night at the Zou aftermath. The Tigers had suffered some decommitments during their 1-5 start, but here’s some happy news to accompany their current four-game winning streak. He joins Tyrone Collins, Vincent Gray, and Tyrus Wheat as defensive back commits.
WELCOME, JARVIS.
