It feels like Corey Fatony should be the Mizzou punter for the rest of time. He fit the Tigers in so many different ways, a Punter with swagger whose post good punts celebrations were commonplace and enjoyed for years. But he ran out of eligibility, and so Mizzou is looking for someone new to punt the ball next season and they have at least found someone to challenge for the job when Aaron Rodriguez accepted a preferred walk-on spot and committed to Missouri today.

What they’re saying about Rodriguez’s Commitment
From KickingWorld.com:
Aaron is a dynamite punter who performed exceptionally well at our 2017 invite-only Showcase Event. He finished #3 Overall each day on punts and #1 in his class on Day 2 eliminations. Aaron has a very consistent drop and foot to ball contact on his punts and is able to reproduce solid hits routinely. He hovers in the mid 4.2’s hang times consistently and we’ve seen him hit a few bombs over 4.5. Aaron also kicks field goals on his Varsity team and as a junior he was a perfect 43/43 in-game. We expect Aaron’s senior year to be a big one and if you need a punter, he needs to be on your recruiting board.
Welcome Aaron, good luck and M-I-Z!
