Missouri Football recruiting: News and updates from late signing day 2020

The second part to Missouri’s 2020 signing class inks their letters of intent today.

football recruiting 2019

It’s signing day (again)!

Missouri already netted the majority of their recruiting class back on the early signing day December 18th. 10 players signed in the early period, leaving Missouri more work to do than most of their power conference contemporaries. Since then, Mizzou has signed two additional players in Damon Hazelton, Jr and Benjamin Key.

Hazelton comes to Mizzou as a graduate transfer, meaning he can sign at any time. And Key had graduated from his junior college, meaning the same thing. Missouri also has several members of their early signing class on campus in Jay Maclin, Brady Cook, and Harrison Mevis.

Missouri recruiting: Storylines for the early signing period

  • With the class wrapped up, how has new head coach Eli Drinkwitz managed to stem the tide of the turnover once the decommitments were halted.

Barry Odom had a class that was rated 34th in the country. It plummeted into the 70s before Drink was able to recover to what is currently 49th. Where will they end up?

  • Will we have any more news on Kevon Billingsley?

Billingsley is still committed to Missouri but is looking like a non-qualifier. He’s unlikely to sign with the Tigers today, but where he ends up and if he stays with the Tigers through his likely visit to Junior College remains something to watch.
