A decision coming this week for former Mizzou Commit Shemar Pearl

The former commit could become a current commit again.

It was a quiet day yesterday.

I had to reach all the way back to Friday to find a little bit of Mizzou news. And it’s the good kind of Mizzou news... former Mizzou Commit and current JUCO defensive end Shemar Pearl has the Tigers in his top three, with a decision coming this week:

Pearl has great size for a Defensive End and we know what the Mizzou Depth chart looks like at the position, so there’s an immediate need.

Missouri only has two scholarship Ends on the current roster in the sophomore class, in Darius Robinson and Isaiah McGuire. Meanwhile, by my count Mizzou has eight graduating defensive lineman, and just two in their current commitment list.

More recruiting notes, this time from Friend of the Pod Souichi Terada: Mizzou commit Ryan Hoerstkamp is ‘All in on Mizzou’, including this note:

Hoerstkamp said his plan is to finish out his high school career, especially in basketball, where he’s on pace for the 1,000-point mark. He said he doesn’t want to abandon his team, which is why he isn’t going to be an early enrollee yet.

But if the pandemic shuts down or affects the basketball season in any way, Hoerstkamp said he’s likely going to be an early enrollee at Mizzou.

Everyone have a great Sunday! This is your Live Thread for the day.
