When Missouri first entered the SEC a lot of talk centered around the league being a “line-of-scrimmage league” where both offensive and defensive lines were so monstrous and quick that a Big XII set of lines would be overwhelmed at the point of attack play after play.
Missouri has done well in recruiting size to both of its lines but the high-upside athleticism has eluded the Tiger recruits for most of the past ten years..
Drinkwitz is fixing that issue.
On Saturday the bat signal went up and, soon afterwards, we heard from the latest blue-chip recruit to commit to the Tigers.

Get to know: Deshawn Woods
Hometown: Omaha, NE
High School: Central
Position: Offensive Tackle
Ht/Wt: 6’5” , 295
Rivals Ranking: 5.8, 4-star
247Composite Ranking: 0.9414, 4-star
Total announced offers: 16
Offers to note: Arizona State, Florida, Miami (FL), Texas A&M, Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas State, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Penn State
While most schools have recruited Woods to play tackle, he has indicated that he’d be willing to play any of the offensive line positions, with offensive line coach Marcus Johnson possibly hinting at him seeing some action at center.
Woods previously cited wanting to make the school he picked feel like home and be part of the family. And when it came down to it, the Drinkwitz family was apparently a better pull than those cheaters working for Herm Edwards over at Arizona State.
What they’re saying:

Following the announcement, the emcee (believe it was his coach) said "I'm a Husker, but they have something at Missouri" and then led the crowd in an M-I-Z chant

That's the most 4-stars MU has had in a recruiting class since 2015. It now has the No. 13 2022 class in America (per Rivals).
