Mizzou basketball is receiving a bit of good news with the reports that 6'7" forward Jordan Barnett is coming back to Missouri and playing for the Tigers.

Texas Longhorns F Jordan Barnett intends to transfer - Burnt Orange Nation
The Missouri native was a consensus four-star prospect and top-100 prospect by ESPN out of high school. However, playing time never materialized as a freshman under former head coach Rick Barnes, as Barnett averaged less than 10 minutes per contest and didn't see game action late in Big 12 conference play, scoring only 40 points on the season.
Sam Snelling tells me that Frank Haith wasn't very high on him during the recruiting process. Barnett is a combo forward similar to Jakeenan Gant but probably a bit stronger and thus better suited to play the power-foward position. It sounds like he'll be on campus this semester and would be eligible to play the second semester next year.
Many people remember him for an epic scoring battle with Jimmy Whitt at Mizzou Arena.
Scholarship-wise, Mizzou is dealing with the recent NCAA violations but if Martavian Payne is no longer on scholarship, Barnett would put Kim Anderson's squad at 12 total and thus still within the limits.
