Russell Hansbrough expected to start against Kentucky

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

Missouri's new depth chart and game notes are out (PDF). Let's take a look at the lineup Mizzou plans to bring to the table against Kentucky.

Offense

QB
Maty Mauk (6'0, 195, Jr.) -- 42-for-80, 474 yards, 5 TD, 4 INT, 4 sacks (5.5 yards/att.); 21 carries, 112 yards (5.3), 1 TD
Drew Lock (6'4, 205, Fr.) -- 12-for-20, 178 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 1 sack (8.2 yards/att.)
Eddie Printz (6'3, 205, So.) *OR*
Marvin Zanders (6'1, 185, RSFr.)

No changes here, and none were expected.

RB
Russell Hansbrough (5'9, 195, Sr.) -- 7 carries, 38 yards (5.4)
Ish Witter (5'10, 190, So.) -- 42 carries, 137 yards (3.3); 10 targets, 7 catches, 46 yards (4.6)
Tyler Hunt (5'11, 210, Sr.) -- 8 carries, 26 yards (3.3); 2 targets, 2 catches, 129 yards (64.5), 1 TD *OR*
Morgan Steward (6'0, 210, Jr.) -- 10 carries, 18 yards (1.8); 1 target, 0 catches *OR*
Chase Abbington (6'2, 215, So.) -- 3 carries, 19 yards (6.3); 1 target, 0 catches

CHANGE HERE. BIG CHANGE HERE. Hansbrough has evidently been deemed healthy enough to likely start on Saturday. Obviously he started against Arkansas State, too, but barely played, so we probably shouldn't expect 20-plus touches by any means. But any Hansbrough is better than no Hansbrough. That moves Witter back to No. 2, and now there are three players tied for the No. 3 spot: Hunt and Steward (last week's co-No. 2s) and Abbington, who looked not-terrible in a couple of touches against UConn.

WR-X
J'Mon Moore (6'3, 190, So.) -- 22 targets, 11 catches, 130 yards (5.9), 1 TD
Emanuel Hall (6'3, 200, Fr.) -- 5 targets, 2 catches, 12 yards (2.4)

WR-H
Nate Brown (6'3, 205, So.) -- 16 targets, 9 catches, 125 yards (7.8), 2 TD
Thomas Richard (6'1, 190, RSFr.) -- 2 targets, 1 catch, 4 yards (2.0)
Ray Wingo (5'11, 180, RSFr.) -- 2 targets, 2 catches, 10 yards (5.0)
DeSean Blair (6'3, 190, RSFr.) -- 3 targets, 1 catch, 21 yards (7.0) *OUT*

WR-Z
Wesley Leftwich (6'1, 205, Sr.) -- 6 targets, 3 catches, 44 yards (7.3), 1 TD
Keyon Dilosa (6'3, 200, RSFr.) -- 3 targets, 3 catches, 25 yards (8.3)
Eric Laurent (6'2, 215, Jr.) -- 1 target, 1 catch, 4 yards

TE
Sean Culkin (6'6, 245, Jr.) -- 13 targets, 11 catches, 97 yards (7.5)
Clayton Echard (6'5, 260, Sr.) -- 1 target, 0 catches
Jason Reese (6'5, 250, So.) -- 4 targets, 1 catch, 5 yards (1.3)

Blair (concussion) and Dilosa (elbow) were both injured in Friday afternoon's car accident with Terry Beckner, and both missed Saturday's game. It appears that Dilosa is expected back, while the staff will sit Blair out again. Another slight change: Echard is now the No. 2 tight end over Reese, who has continued last season's drops issue in the early going.

LT
Connor McGovern (6'4, 305, Sr.) -- 31 career starts
Paul Adams (6'6, 290, RSFr.)

LG
Taylor Chappell (6'5, 305, Sr.) -- 11 career starts
Alec Abeln (6'3, 290, So.) -- 2 career starts

C
Evan Boehm (6'3, 310, Sr.) -- 43 career starts
Brad McNulty (6'4, 305, Sr.) -- 15 career starts

RG
Mitch Hall (6'5, 310, Sr.) -- 7 career starts
Kevin Pendleton (6'4, 315, RSFr.)

RT
Nate Crawford (6'5, 310, So.) -- 3 career starts
Malik Cuellar (6'5, 300, Jr.)

I was a little bit curious about changes up front after Chappell spent a little bit of time at right tackle on Saturday. Alas, none to speak of.

Defense

DE
Walter Brady (6'3, 255, RSFr.) -- 5.0 tackles, 4 TFL (2 sacks), 2 QBH
Marcell Frazier (6'5, 265, So.) -- 3.5 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 2 QBH

DT
Terry Beckner Jr. (6'4, 300, Fr.) -- 4.0 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 PBU
A.J. Logan (6'2, 310, So.) -- 1.5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 FF
Josh Moore (6'5, 280, Fr.) -- 1.0 tackles

NG
Josh Augusta (6'4, 345, Jr.) -- 3.5 tackles, 2 TFL, 1 PBU
Rickey Hatley (6'4, 300, Jr.) -- 5.0 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 QBH

DE
Charles Harris (6'3, 255, So.) -- 11.5 tackles, 8 TFL (3 sacks), 1 FF, 3 QBH
Nate Howard (6'4, 240, Fr.) -- 3.0 tackles, 1.5 TFL
Spencer Williams (6'3, 245, RSFr.)

A week after Frazier moved to No. 1 DE because of a great performance against Arkansas State, Brady has done the same. He was Mizzou's most disruptive presence against UConn, and he's earned himself a start because of it.

Another change: Beckner has moved to DT and will start next to Augusta, while Hatley moves from No. 1 DT to No. 2 NG. It's getting harder and harder to keep Beckner off the field.

WLB
Kentrell Brothers (6'1, 235, Sr.) -- 33.0 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 INT, 1 PBU, 2 blocked kicks
Joey Burkett (6'2, 210, So.) -- 5.5 tackles

MLB
Michael Scherer (6'3, 230, Jr.) -- 11.5 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 1 PBU
Brandon Lee (6'2, 220, RSFr.) -- 0.5 tackles, 1 PBU

SLB
Donavin Newsom (6'2, 230, Jr.) -- 8.5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 PBU
Clarence Green (6'0, 220, Sr.) -- 6.5 tackles, 1 blocked kick
Terez Hall (6'2, 215, Fr.) -- 1.0 tackles

No changes here.

CB
Kenya Dennis (5'11, 200, Sr.) -- 10.0 tackles, 1 TFL (1 sack), 1 PBU
John Gibson (6'0, 190, Jr.) -- 2.5 tackles, 1 INT, 1 PBU

CB
Aarion Penton (5'10, 190, Jr.) -- 11.0 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 PBU, 1 QBH
Logan Cheadle (5'10, 180, So.) -- 1.0 tackles
Anthony Hines (6'1, 190, So.)

Hines makes his first depth chart appearance over Finis Stribling IV. The August signee saw four snaps on Saturday and appears to be rising quickly. But with Dennis and Penton atop the two-deep, Hines will only rise so far, obviously.

SS
Anthony Sherrils (6'0, 190, So.) -- 11.5 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 INT, 1 FF, 1 FR
Thomas Wilson (5'10, 190, So.) -- 2.5 tackles, 0.5 TFL
Cam Hilton (6'0, 180, Fr.)

FS
Ian Simon (6'0, 195, Sr.) -- 10.5 tackles, 1 PBU, 1 FR
Cortland Browning (6'1, 205, Sr.) -- 2.0 tackles
Tavon Ross (6'0, 200, RSFr.) -- 1.5 tackles

Browning's back in the mix. Otherwise no changes.

Special Teams

K
Andrew Baggett (6'1, 215, Sr.) -- 8-8 PAT, 3-3 FG under 40, 1-2 FG over 40

P
Corey Fatony (5'11, 185, Fr.) -- 18 punts, 44.9 average, 7 FC, 6 inside 20
Dayton Balvanz (6'5, 200, Jr.)

KR
Anthony Sherrils (6'0, 190, So.) -- 5 KR, 18.6 average
John Gibson (6'0, 190, Jr.)

PR
Aarion Penton (5'10, 190, Jr.) -- 7 PR, 10.9 average (1 TD, technically)
Thomas Wilson (5'10, 190, So.)

No changes here.
