Ohio TE Matt Dotson picks up Mizzou offer

Matthew Dotson is a 6'5", 230 lb tight end from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Rivals: 4*247: 4*Scout: 4*

Dotson was first offered by Illinois nearly a year ago in February.  Dotson received an offer from Tennessee in March after attending the Vols' Junior Day.  Local offers started coming in as Dotson was offered by Cincinnati in April and Ohio State in June.  The highly touted tight end saw more offers come in from Penn State, Purdue, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan State, Michigan, Arkansas, Nebraska, Boston College, Louisville, and Missouri.  Big Ten teams are all over the local recruit as 9 of the 14 teams in the conference have already offered Dotson.

Dotson was invited to the Nike+ Football The Opening Regionals in Columbus, Ohio set to take place later in May.

247Sports views Dotson as either a home-state lean towards Ohio State, or a jump to the SEC in Tennessee.  Michigan and Michigan State are also considered slight favorites to land the tight end.  Dotson's Twitter is full of Tennessee references and the tight end called Knoxville "a great place to be" according to InsideTennessee.com.

It appears Dotson is being recruited by Josh Heupel and Joe Jon Finley.
