Traore was gaining interest from multiple schools and was showing great potential at Matignon High School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Forced to take a JUCO detour to Nassau C.C. for academic reasons, Traore has emerged again and now as one of the top JUCO offensive tackles. Traore was first offered by Arizona State on February 8. Traore pulled in more offers following the Sun Devils' in Iowa State, Louisville, UAB, South Carolina, Memphis, Houston, Pittsburgh, and Missouri.

Scout views Traore as having equal interest in all schools that have offered him while 247Sports views Ohio State as the current favorite. Traore has not yet been offered by the Buckeyes but is reportedly being recruited by Ed Warinner, Ohio State's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, and Greg Studrawa, Ohio State's other offensive line coach.

It appears that Traore is being recruited by Glen Elarbee and Joe Jon Finley.
