MUtigers.com: @MizzouHoops Set to Host Arkansas-Pine Bluff for Tuesday Doubleheader
Tigers vs. Golden Lions to tipoff at 8 p.m. after Mizzou Women's Basketball game (5:30 p.m. vs. Charlotte).
Mizzou Men's Basketball (5-6) hosts two final non-conference games at Mizzou Arena before beginning Southeastern Conference action, with the first game a matchup with Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-11) on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 8 p.m. (SEC Network+).
The Trib (Steve Walentik): Break gave Tigers chance to recharge, try new things (and other notes)
"Better than nothing, having a two-day break," Phillips said. "I think we needed it mentally and physically as a team. Being able to come back right, I know we’re looking at it as this is the second part of the season here. We’re 0-0, so we’ve just got to get a fresh start."
The Tigers had all returned to Columbia in time to practice on Saturday evening and had two workouts on Sunday as they turned their attention to Tuesday’s 8 p.m. tipoff against Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
The Trib: Tigers still trying to put a full game together with SEC on horizon
Post-Dispatch: Preview: Mizzou vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff
On January 8, 2015, the Tigers beat LSU 78-72. It was their second straight win, both after the New Year. Mizzou would lose its next 13 in a row (a school record) and is a whopping 7-and-22 since. Against Xavier and teams from a Power Five Conference, Mizzou is 2-and-22 in the last 11 months and two weeks.
Tuesday's titanic tilt against Arkansas-Pine Bluff notwithstanding, 2015 ended, fittingly, with a 68-63 loss against Illinois on Wednesday night. The Tigers showed some fight in the second half, but couldn't come all the way back from a 20-point deficit.
As for future Tigers...

AP Exclusive: Schools ease athlete penalties for marijuana
At least one-third of the Power Five conference schools are not punishing athletes as harshly as they were 10 years ago for testing positive for marijuana and other so-called recreational drugs, according to an investigation by The Associated Press.
