Missouri's second commitment in two days https://t.co/dx1rInOGEQ

Missouri got a rather slow start to the 2016 recruiting cycle, securing only three commitments (two from sign-and-place JUCO guys) into late May. That number has evidently doubled since then. Following Ca'Ron Baham's commitment on May 23 and Tre Williams' yesterday, Atlanta McNair cornerback Christian Holmes joined the party with a Saturday commitment.
Holmes is an under-the-radar guy. He has been given a low-two-star rating from both Rivals.com and the 247 Composite. His biggest other offers were from Cincinnati and Memphis, and his profile wasn't in the process of erupting like Williams' was.
That said ... look at his film. It's not hard to see what Gary Pinkel and staff see in this guy.
Insert caveat about lesser competition here, but he is a lanky long-strider and a confident runner. He'll have to be properly taught what he can and can't get away with at the FBS level, but Pinkel and company are pretty good at that. One other bonus: he is the cousin of current Mizzou starting corner Kenya Dennis. Not a bad role model.
Athletically, he appears to be everything you'd want in a CB, which is why he got such an early offer despite his lower recruiting profile.
Welcome, Christian!
