NCAA Basketball: Missouri at Mississippi Petre Thomas-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome back to the newest episode of Dive Cuts with Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris. Sam and Matt have been away for a bit, but there is still plenty to talk about when it comes to college basketball maybe or maybe not being played in about a month. There still is no schedule so we don’t know who Mizzou is actually playing yet, which makes is hard to dive into matchups. What would make the most sense when it comes to a schedule?

They also get into a nice discussion about Basketball players as cocktails. What are your thoughts with the drinks assigned to players?

Let’s dive in.

Episode Breakdown:

:45 - 6:00: Welcome back to Dive Cuts! We have no idea if NCAA games will happen and everyone just wants to see a schedule. The season starts in A MONTH...! COVID still exists. Sam and Matt have some thoughts.

6:01 - 28:00: The College Basketball “Bubble” in Orlando broke down (or was popped) earlier this week. What can we make of that and again, we still have no idea what a schedule will be this year. Matt has an idea about divisions in the SEC that could help get a schedule off of the ground. Listen up SEC!

28:01 - 51:20: One thing that is also not ideal about not having a schedule is that you can sometimes tell how a coach feels about their team based on the schedule. Right now, the one team we know Mizzou is supposedly playing is TCU.... we think. Before the schedule was thrown in the shredder, Mizzou looked like they had a tough non-con schedule coming. When it comes to the SEC, which teams can be special in this league if the season gets going?

51:21 - 1:10:00: Okay, enough with the delay. Everyone is tuning in to find out which cocktail goes with which player. It’s a game called “Players as Cocktails.” We don’t know a whole lot about some players, so it isn’t fair to assign a drink to someone we don’t know yet, but let’s have fun anyways.

1:10:01 - END: Final thoughts AND Sam would like to hear from you on Twitter as to which cocktail you would assign to a player. We’ll see you next time for the next episode of Dive Cuts.
