Welcome back Tiger Fans to another episode of Before the Box Score with Nate Edwards and Brandon Kiley. Nate and BK have had some time to look into the game against Florida so let’s put a bow on that shall we?
It’s also a bye week, which could help Mizzou get healthy but what else needs to happen before Mizzou faces Georgia? We are officially at the halfway point.... what is to like and dislike? Any surprises? Let’s get to it.
1:00 - 16:00: Embrace the bye week and let’s talk about sports for a bit! Things would be better if Mizzou beat Florida, but they did not. Let’s dive into all of the advanced metrics and what the tape shows after watching it again. You can also see these numbers in written form!
16:01 - 27:30: Nick Bolton didn’t lead the team in tackles, which sounds crazy. But let’s get into something called Havoc rating for those of you who are interested in that sort of thing. The D-Line needs to improve here, which we knew.
27:31 - 45:34: 4 out of the 5 games Mizzou has played in have been against ranked opponents and they were heavy underdogs. They are 2-3, which is better than most expected. Let’s check in on the halfway point and see what we think about our Tigers now after 5 games. Also let us start talking about wins and losses the rest of the way!
45:35 - END: Final thoughts and we will see you next week to talk Georgia. BUT also, before Nate and BK get out of here, can you name the Presidents that have played football? Fun game that has no relevance whatsoever!
