Welcome back everyone to another episode of Dive Cuts with Sam Snelling and Matthew Harris. Sam and Matt take a small trip down recruiting talk lane in football and basketball before turning their attention to Mizzou Hoops on the court as the Tigers are ranked 16th in the land! How about that?!

They also touch on other Mizzou Basketball happenings, including the now unfortunate extended layoff when tons of momentum seems to be building pre-conference play. They also wrap up with a little bit of a preview of Bradley as they are set to head to Columbia on Tuesday! Let’s Dive in.

Episode Breakdown:

:45 - 9:00: Since National Signing Day for Football is wrapping up, Sam and Matt talk some football recruiting and Matt is glad he does not have to follow recruiting on the football side. Also, the class is highly ranked, but that doesn’t mean it will lead to anything. So, let’s take a brief trip down recruiting lane before shifting focus to Mizzou Hoops!

9:01 - 47:40: This is not a football podcast, but it was the lead topic. The lead topic, however, should have been that Mizzou Basketball has a ranked program for the first time since January of 2014 they are ranked! And not barely ranked, they are ranked 16th! Thoughts? This of course transitions seamlessly into the Braggin’ Rights review and thoughts (ICYMI, Mizzou won that game. More on it here in study hall and the recap can be found here as well - Shout out Kortay Vincent).

47:41 - 54:30: Now, Mizzou is on a layover and had a game canceled due to COVID in another program, so their next game is against Bradley. What’s the scouting report on them and should a long layover be something to worry about for Mizzou as conference play looms?

54:31 - END: Sam and Matt will be back post Bradley to take a look at conference play and all of a sudden, Mizzou has the conference in front of them, which is exciting times! We’ll get into that next week and until then, thanks for tuning in.
