St. Louis Post Dispatch's Koran Addo reports Mizzou is back on track with fundraising. Mizzou has topped its previous record of $164.5 million in 2014 with $171 million for fiscal year 2016.

The university's fundraising campaign, "Mizzou, Our Time to Lead", has produced a positive spin to the turbulent year the university has endured. With the absence of a president, a chancellor and now an athletic director, the support from the Mizzou alumni provides hope for the university during times of uncertainty.

There have been over 44,000 donations contributed to the campaign, including a $25 million gift from the Texas based Kinder Foundation. This donation and another anonymous gift of $14 million both individually top the previous year's largest donation of $10 million.

Mizzou has now reached more than half of the $1.3 billion fundraising goal with currently a total of $762 Million in donations and pledges.
